Who should attend? "To develop and enhance the options of self defense so they many become viable considerations to the woman who is attacked." Women and girls starting at the age of 14 are encouraged to attend. Any female under the age of 17 will require parental consent to attend the class. I will be holding many classes including Saturday mornings and weekday afternoon/nights. It will be advertised in both the Millbury Sutton Chronicle and also in the Telegram and Gazette Newspapers. There are no physical requirements necessary except that you have no current injuries or medical conditions that would inhibit you from physical activity. The course is designed for women only and geared toward assaults on women by men. The class is a team building and empowering experience. The program creates an opportunity for women to grow both physically and emotionally. Who teaches the class? Officer Brothers and Officer Polselli are the primary instructors for the R.A.D. program. At times, they are assisted by officers from area departments who are also certified instructors. The class will be free to any Millbury resident wishing to attend. Classes are typically run with 10 women per class. The class is normally run for 3 hours over 4 days. The last 3 hour session includes a simulation training which is optional. Classes will fill up quickly. When it is advertised, I ask that you sign up as soon as possible. Hope to see you in a class!
