TRAFFIC SAFETY PAGE

The Millbury Police Department employs several traffic enforcement methods. The most common is radar and lidar, which is performed at various locations throughout town. At times officers may also monitor stop signs, red lights, and intersections for various motor vehicle violations.

During the year there officers are deployed as part of the Governors Highway Safety Bureau (GHSB) campaigns. These include the well known "Click-it-or-Ticket", "You Drink, You Drive, You Loose" and the "Road Respect" initiatives. All three are intended to reduce motor vehicle violations on he roads of the Commonwealth and within Millbury.

Lastly, the department has a radar trailer, which is set up during the spring and summer months. This speed monitor provides a digital display of your speed, allowing motorists to know if they need to slow down.

If you have any questions about the GHSB programs please contact Sergeant Donald Desorcy during the daytime. Requests for placement of the radar trailer may be forwarded to Officer Christopher Polselli by email or by calling the police department between Midnight and 8 AM.
